1/2 banana (frozen for a thicker smoothie)
1/2 apple (Vermont Macintosh is best) with skin
1 cup milk (can be soy, almond, coconut or hemp) 1/2 avacado
1 tablespoon of chia seeds
2-3 cups of spinach 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
1 medjool date
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar 1/2 cup of ice
In a blender begin with adding the milk, then all the other ingredients except for the spinach. Add the spinach last so you can stuff the top and not have the ingredients go all over the place if the spinach springs back.
Blend until the spinach incorporates into the smoothie.
Makes two 12 oz. servings.
