In 1917 the Lantz Brothers, two german immigrant bakers accidentally discovered their Grandmother's favorite fruitcake recipe. The recipe called for a combination of the finest fruits, nuts and just the right amount of bourbon, rum and brandy! Specific instructions were made on slowly baking using a secret process and hand decorating each cake with artisan like detail. The result was a rich, moist, delicious and decorative fruitcake. Today, the Beatrice Bakery continues baking with Grandma's original fruitcake recipe as well as creating a variety of other fruit cake flavors and dessert cakes.
